Job done ..... It truly is very much like getting married., talked about and planned for a long time, then the butterflies set in as you set off in the direction of your starting point., "will you, won't you, can you, can't you" type thing ... remember those pre wedding jitters? It's very much like that and then bang, it's all over and you're wondering if you dreamed it all despite having the photographic evidence so it must have happened!! Would we do it again ... a fundraising cycle ride yes, the E2E? We would probably either trade it in for a C2C instead or try another route either via the Scottish islands possibly going south to north or take the east coast route instead., who knows what the future holds but yep, we'll certainly do something again, at some time in the future!! In fact a friend who would have liked to have joined us, suggested we do something on these lines when we are both 60, ten years hence so watch this space ..
To donate ..... [NB You have a choice of 3 different charities that you can donate to .. Patch Adam's Gesundheit Institute, the RNLI or further below again, is the link to a second just giving page, this time for the PRECIOUS LIVES appeal which those cycling in Cornwall have opted to support on the last leg of the ride.

you wish to donate the cost of a brick or three, please go

Thank you to everyone who turned out or contributed in some shape or form ... you made a serious difference whether in terms of helping us or encouraging us and it wasn't exactly straightforward ... most people take a wrong turn here or there but we did it in style, big time ... as in some pretty spectacular whoopsies including playing ping pong with the hail, having the fuel coupling break so we nearly never even started, exploding tyres (manufacturer's defect) to the point people thought a shotgun was being discharged, locking the keys in the van with us on the outside and an accident with an oncoming vehicle on our side of the road which nearly put pay to the last couple of days of the ride. However we did survive and live to tell the tale .......... and how much have we raised ....... frankly not as much as we would have liked to have achieved but we can only do so much and we sure as hell gave it our best shot, the rest is down to anyone who reads this page!! If you click on the JG links, you will see what I mean, which at the point of writing this, is actually very disheartening however we can still live in hopes that money has gone into Patch's fund but because of the way his donate page is set up, there is no visible record of it as such although I know it is genuine just as Patch is and really hope that he realises his dream of over 30 years in the very near future .... There are also people who I know have done just that and to them and you know who you are, thank you, from the bottom of my heart, thank you for supporting us and our endeavours!
